Hotel Or B&B In Krakow
Hi guys
Can anyone recommend any bike friendly hotels or B&Bs in Krakow with secure parking please? Thanks DG |
I take it that you are heading for the salt mine in Wieliczka.(about 12km from Krakow)
There are plenty of b&b's walking distance from the mine. I was there last year and found a place near the mine with secure parking. I'll see if I have kept a record of the address. Rory |
That'd be great if you could Rory :thumbup1:
If the weather forecast is good we're going to head east to Poland before turning south. No real plan other than to visit the salt mine and Auschwitz then just follow the sun. |
"Accession B&B" (Bed and Breakfast Krakow Poland - Accession B&B | Old Town Accommodation in Cracow) was my and my girlfriend's choice in August 2009 and we had a good experience there.
They don't have a bike parking, but they directed me to a fenced public parking with guard (if I remember well, the total fee was 10 Euro for two days) where we could park our motorcycle in complete safety. That parking place is less than 10 minutes walk from the B&B. |
Hotel near the mine
Hi there,
I’ve been to the area twice. The first time we stayed here. Witamy w Hotelu „Park” - Hotel Park - nocleg, zielona szkoa, wesele, konferencje, szkolenia, grill, - Mylenice It’s a few miles to the south of the mine, but it was a great base for looking round. There is a pubic pool behind the hotel. Off road parking, very secure nice people. Last year we stayed nearer the mine ( about 10mins walk), I can’t remember the name of the Hotel/B&B doh, It was here 49.988104° and 20.076654° about 360 meters SE from the junction of route 4 & 964. Secure parking (main gates are locked at night), comfortable with good food & small bar. It’s not shown as a hotel on Google. A few secure Hotels/ B&B's on the same street. Rory |
Thanks Rory, I'll check out the gps location, if you say that there's a few hotels and B&Bs in the area it would be a good place to start, we'll be arriving (hopefully) on a weekend, would you advise we book somewhere or would you say we'd find somewhere?
TIA |
Go for it
I would'nt be to bothered about booking in advance. I normally don't book anywhere.
Have'nt been stuck (yet). :biggrin3: Hope you enjoy the mine. Some great sceanery to the South heading towards Slovakia. Rory. |
Yep I've got to agree with you on the not booking anywhere, last time we headed into Europe the only thing we booked was the channel crossing, everything else we just rolled along and stopped and found a campsite/B&B when we'd had enough.
I've heard the Tatras are amazing, we'll be heading south once we've seen the things we want to see in Poland, probably head for Italy. :scooter: Can't wait! :thumbup1: Thanks for the input, appreciate the time and thoughts. |
I don't have any adress, but I will ask the RE forum, somes live over there.
On my point of view, Slovakia side is better than Polish side. More natural. If you travel true Poznan, you welcome! |
We will be travelling from the west through Germany. I will have a look for Poznan, is that where you are from?
|
Yes.
We living about 50 km West of Poznan in a small village closed to the main road to Warsaw. You welcome. May be you know this web site, I use it when come back to France (I'm french living in Poland) or what ever. Highlights of Germany - Scenic Routes |
Thanks I'll be in touch bier
