Helmet Laws
I'm moving to Greece and will be traveling all over Europe in the next 2 to 3 years and would like to know if there are manitory helmet laws there. If there are which countries?

Basically all the EU has compulsory helmet laws. It's normally only a fine if you get caught without one, and some countries are less strict than others in their enforcement.
As far as I know there aren't any countries that allow that "free-feeling". If you see locals doing it, then it's up to you. |
Besides, at euro speeds you'll be wanting a helmet, trust me...
Most of Europe is a whole 'nother world, totally different to NA driving styles. (Take normal US speeds, add 25-50%, and you'll get to see their backs - for a minute or so... ) http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/ubb/biggrin.gif ------------------ Grant Johnson Seek, and ye shall find. ------------------------ One world, Two wheels. www.HorizonsUnlimited.com |
I never understand why people even ask this question....Ride a bike without a helmet? DUH???

Mandatory in all EU countries (+ Switzerland)- and will be , if not already in the remaining 13 nations to join EU the next year; in southern places is less enforced (Italy below Naples , Greece) but REALLY a must for safe driving ...when hot , use a MX full-face helmet + googles that is way more fresh than a road helmet

We were riding through eastern Europe last summer, and Latvia seemed the only country where riding without helmet was OK. |
