Our trip in south america is almost finish and the bike is going to madrid the 20 of march. we have a question for someone who have ride in that part of the world: we have to ride madrid to barcelona to take the ferry to mallorca.on google map it say's 621 km for 6 hours.is it realist or it's not possible to ride that fast in europe. we have to buy a ticket for the ferry and we want to be sure we are ok in time. thank you

On the A-roads? Absolutely. Three things to keep in mind:

1) You're looking at *at least one* fuel stop on the way. There will be gas stations on the side of the road, but still assume half an hour to spend on that if you stretch, go to the bathroom, etc. And this assumes you are starting out with a full tank and arriving with an empty tank for the ferry.

2) The A-roads that let you do a sustained 130kph for hours, are toll roads. And the tolls can get expensive.

3) Around the big cities, especially getting into Barcelona, you are likely to run into traffic and get slowed down a LOT.

I'd leave maybe 8 hours for it, just in case.

if you don't want to pay the tolls, usually in spain the small[what we call b roads] run almost parallel with the toll roads.far more pleasant as you will pass thru some nice villages and towns, although obviously will take more time.

yes you should be ok depends on traffic at Madrid and Barcelona . i have rode 22000 miles in spain over the years and had a house there once
i have rode the full length north to south in 10 hrs .. might be worth spending a delayed few days and riding se from Madrid to Toledo and further on to Rhonda .. beautiful area you won't be disappointed
