Ferry Odessa - Istanbul ?
 

In spring 2005, I will visit Odessa. From there, I'm considering to continue via Car Ferry to Istanbul.

I have not been able to find a regular car ferry between Odessa and Istanbul yet.

Can anybody help?

you might have to goto Soci, Russia - on the black sea coast. From there, you ride a ferry that'll take you to Trabzon, Turkey. From there you have to bike to Istanbul (long way).

Thank you, Aytac. I have seen this mentioned in Vlad's report about his trip with Tony. The fare for that ferry is $170. Also, it will cost me another visa (to Russia), for merely a day or two in Russia. All in all well over $200, I suppose. Not really what I am looking for.

So the question is still open.

Got a price qoute from "Kuzov Aleksey,
UKRFERRY TOUR travel agency" at avk@UKRFERRY.com. It was 100USD per bike in 2003. Changed plans, drove through Moldova instead. You need to give the dimensions and weight of your cargo (bike). Hope this helps!

There were ferries form Novorossiysk to Samsun also Yevpotaria to Zonguldak by Ulusoy denizcilik. Try to check them if these lines are still available.
