Ferry Newcaste to Bergen (UK to Norway)
 

There is now plans to start up with a ferry between Newcaste - Bergen - Stavanger - Newcastle. If everything goes well it will start sailing in 2026….

Looks like all it is so far is an (outdated) investor-seeking website - by this time they should already have a contract with the shipyard in place and construction started, but no such news on that website... looks like a good idea rather than a realistic operation.

That's my reading, too: a very hopeful (I'm being polite) website aimed at attracting investors without promising anything concrete.

I know so many people with Norway on their to do list that are put off by the circuitous route and time involved from the UK.
I remember back in the day the ferry was always full of Norwegians doing a mini cruise where they offset the price with a health takeaway of duty free spirits. Surely that demand is still there, we need this ferry service back.
