There's a car park on the corner of Ul. Pawia and Ul. Stanislawa Worcella where you can get a privately operated mini-bus to either Oswiecim or Wieliczka. They're cheaper than the train and drop you right at the door of Auschwitz 1 or the salt mines, in the case of Oswiecim that will save a walk of about a mile.
Auschwitz was one of the most moving experiences I have had and would recommend the visit to anyone. Wieliczka was a little less satisfying, during the three hour trip I must have spent 2 hours in queues waiting to move on to the next section. I suppose I'm glad I've seen the mines but I won't be rushing back, I think I felt it was very close to a bit of a rip-off. |
No salt mines for me then boi.
Thanks for the info:thumbup1: |
My plans are on hold for the moment sorry.
I have a problem with my right wrist. It has been playing up for a while. The Triumph is putting to must weight on said wrist, although there is a possibility to change the bars. I think the sheer weight of the brute is against me. One for wheeling around and the other for just plain counter steering. Not sure which avenue to take. The bike is great, a pity to sell. Yet i think it may be my preferred option. Ideally i need a lighter bike, more upright with a bit of wind protection. I am really miffed. Still perhaps i may get a quick sale. The biggest headache is what to buy!!!!!!! |
