European CB radios

What frequencies do european CB radios run on? I need a radio that is capable of european channel 29 for the Budapest to Bamako rally. Can I use my standard 40 channel north american CB equipment?

What type of CB setup do some people use for their bikes? So far I'm looking at something like an Intek H-520 with an auxiliary

antenna:INTEK H-520 10 BAND AM FM UK EUROPEAN HANDHELD CB

or an icom radio of some sort:

ICOM Canada : IC-A24_IC-A6

I have held the Icom A24 radio, and they are a beautifully made unit. But much more expensive than the Intek.

Any suggestions?

Hi
I think the frequencies are the same but most likely you will need FM modulation. In fact I've never seen CB on motorcycle except on GoldWings.PMR radio (equivalent of FRS radio)is a lot more popular for this purpose in EU.In case of "old good" CB (27 MHz) you'll have to adjust antenna very carefully.
Cheers
