Hi, i am doing a Scandanavian tour leaving on 10th August and then riding through Estonia Latvia Lithuania. Can anyone give detials of some good safe campsites in these area's and any places of natural beauty that are not to commercial, ie national parks etc. I will visit the capital cities, but as i am living and working in a big city 24/7, i really do like to chill out with nature, so any help would be appreciated

I have just got back from a tour of the Baltics & I found a great secure campsite in Haapsalu in Estonia run by a Finish couple, great toilet & wash facilities & close to town with ATM / supermarkets & near the islands. It's called "Camping Pikseke" www.albinet.com/camping/

buy "Regio" map from some bigger Estonian gas station. There are campsides marked on the map, but you may always find some remote place your own if nothing nearby.

Are you travelling with enduro-type of bike? If thes then i recommend travelling to Esonian islands - Saaremaa and Hiiumaa. You'll get the idea of the scenery around there from here i did the pictures from my trip: http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthr...threadid=48515

In inland of Estonia natural places excellent to see are South-Estonia and in north "Lahemaa" national park. I'd highly recommend driving on gravel roads mostly (marked yellow on Regio map) and roads marked with extra green line (=beautiful road) then you'll get the best scenery.
