buying a bike in Helsinki Finland
 

Hello folks.

I've been looking at doing an eastern european tour going southward from Finland. I'm wondering if anyone has any insider knowledge of buying a bike in Finland? Or if you can point me to some resources..

Finland has significant taxes, so vehicles are expensive. Not entirely sure about their bureaucracy.

Two hours' by ferry south, and you can buy a bike as a non-resident in Estonia as long as you find a local to be an official representative. All the bike ads are on mototehnika.ee, and you and your representative just show up at the registration office and fill in the papers, took me about an hour for two bikes with non-EU owners.
