Burgundy, Dijon area
 

Managed to grab a few days away next month visiting a friend in Burgundy. Anyone reccommend some good rides around Dijon? Is a trip to the Alps or Jura possible in a day?

Annecy & Lake Annecy are 160 miles from Dijon, you do the return trip with a few hours in Annecy with an early start quite easily.

Geneva is a little closer but just another city, the fountain is interesting though. Annecy is smaller, less hectic & is generally more rewarding IMO. The lake is very blue & clear, Jura are quite close also. Why not spend the night in the area & return via a different route?

Might be worth asking the same question on the UK GS club site www.ukgser.com (even if you don't ride a GS!) Plenty of the GS owners tour France and there should be lots of people who know the good places to go.
