Any Advice on Getting BMW Serviced in Turkey
Just thinking ahead, I will need a service for teh bike by the time i reach Turkey (Istanbal). Whats the advice on making contact with the dealers? Weeks and weeks in advance or do they accommodate travellers in less than a week?
The same goes for tires. any guidance or experince will be useful waffey?c? |

My tuppence:
I chose to have all my work done in Greece, in Athens being in the EU. (availability of parts, choice of tyres, prices blah blah blah) IMHO, a courtesy phone call / email to introduce yourself beforehand and let them know in advance what it is you would like to have done, tyres, parts etc goes a loooong way. I did this and I received a fabulous welcome. Explain that you are on the road and could you have some time flexibility just in case and keep them informed. Map below shows where Motorrad service workshops were- it needs updating |
That's what I was thinking.

You’ll be in good hands — Istanbul has several BMW Motorrad dealers and they’re pretty used to travelers coming through. I’d recommend reaching out maybe a week or two in advance just to be safe, especially if you’re there in peak season. For tires, they usually have common sizes in stock, but if your setup’s a bit niche, give them a heads-up so they can order.
