What route from West to East africa!?!?!?!?!!?
 

Hi, we are two guys planning a trans africa trip. We would like to start out in marocco and cross over to east africa some place on the way..... As crossing from Chad to Sudan to Ethiophia/Kenya at present time seems impossible we are wondering if there are any other options??? Or may be it is possible to go through Sudan??
We are doing the trip by car but guess the same rules and routes are applicable as with a bike....
Please help!!!!!!!

Difficult route...
 

Its a difficult route to get from West to East as the Durfar region is a total no-go area. However, one trip did manage to go through CAR then into Southern Sudan and onto Uganda. Do a google for mobile medics.

If you have the time, you could from west africa drive back trough Algeria into Tunesia, and then via Libia.... Lots of paperwork though, and obligary guide in Algeria and maybe Libia.

Alternatively, you could drive down till Angola, then head into Zambia and further east. This is quite feasible. Angola seems to issue 5 day transit visa only these days. Though!

Or indeed trough CAR and Sudan etc, but that will though!
