jerry can storage
Can anyone tell me where i can get hold of the jerry can storage as seen in www.southing.com. Its for a Landrover 110 hardtop and two cans are stored behind the front doors and under the wheel box, thus providing a total of 4 cans very low down.
I have been told Mantec make them and i am waiting for a reply from them. Does anyone else? |
Hi - I got mine through Foleys - I believe they were made by a company called Rhino. They weren't cheap, but have been well worth it to use that otherwise dead space and get the spare fuel out of the way.

that, or you can buy the genuine military LR parts and make the boxes up yourself.
stick your email on here and i'll send you the parts listing scans. cheers Jamie |

I used the Foley's jerry can holders and got Foley to install them after I struggled to understand how they got fitted. Not easily is the answer! Cost me about £160 to have them fitted and it took about a morning.
Take a look : http://www.overland-network.com/bigs...de_lockers.htm The side lockers are not big enough to fit two water jerry cans (usual black plastic type) but are a perfect fit for Jerry cans. ------------------ www.bigsky-adventures.com |
Hi guys... i'm mario from southing, we just went to a blacksmith with 4 jerrycans, so he took the sizes, made a hole on the side and rivetted, simpel and quick... it took one afternoon and all costed 80 quids...
it turned to be one of the best things we did on the landy, don't leave without them http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/ubb/smile.gif |
