hi-lift hub adapter?
I've seen photographs of an adapter which fits to the freewheeling hubs comonly found on landcruisers, which allows a highlift jack to attach directly to the hub, allowing you to lift the wheel directly.

Hi. I can't give you much info, but I am pretty sure there is a company is Australia that sells these.

Would not a liftmate be more useful
|
I sell them! £32.87 inc vat. (the Lift Mate that is)
|
Hi chaps I have made one of those for a mate's patrol he gave me the same pic to copy.
The only thing is you need an axle stand to change the tyre. this is where he saw the idea: Jack Adaptor - Wheel Hub Type regards Gren |
Yes you would need an axle stand if you are changing the wheel, but you would be better to use a bottle jack for wheel changing anyway.
This Hi Lift adaptor lets you lift a wheel very easily and quickly if it is stuck, then you can slip a sand ladder or something under the wheel and off you go! |
