OTR panniers?
 

Has somebody experience with this alu pannniers?
Could you compare them to Zegas and MMules? (lower and upper robustness benchmark).
Weight?


Are they original OTR or just renamed panniers built by another company?

Panniers are like women(or men), just depends on what you like to put your hands on. They all have good and bad features depending in part on your machine and how they will fit.

The Touratech's Zegas are the most straightforward and have proven themselves in every situation.

The lids remove completely...this is important if your cross tail bag won't allow a lid to flip up or out plus and the lids are handy tool trays. I guess you could make soup in them but I never tried.

Here they are in Mongolia on my KTM.
Good enough to go RTW with a few mods.

I have a set of the OTR panniers, the walls are fairly thin but that means they are a bit lighter than zegas. Personally I like the hinged top, the wife has zegas on hers. Mine have done Europe, Morocco, North-Central and south America and they are still fine. I have rested the bike on mine plenty of times- no problem. I bought mine about 8-9 years ago, I got panniers, mounts, side racks and a rear rack for about 500 euros, compare that to metal mule!

My concerns are about loosing watertightness after a small crash. Friends with Zegas had problems with that.
