Grant Johnson and the tyre lever

For the life of me I am unable to find the thread with the mention at the end regarding a quality set of tyre levers suggested by Boss Johnson at a meet. they are manufactured by buzzetti or something similar sounding. can you's set me straight?

You are right with the name. They are Italian. I bought 2 sets (one for garage at home the other for strapping to the bike) Cost about £45 in total.

I got mine from a company in the UK. I'll try and dig the details out for you.

Cheers

I've changed tyres with a set of buzzeti 200 mm. Wasn't easy, but I got it done. I reckon that'd be as small as you could go.

Mate of mine has a set of 300 mm. That extra 100mm makes quite a difference. Also, the ends of his levers were better shaped than the 200 mm. I would go for at least 300mm.

Mine are 18" cast steel, i think thats about 450mm long. I zap-strap them to my luggage rack out of the way. Personally, i wouldn´t use anything smaller for tires like Tourance or Continental TKC´s. Sure, you can get by, but when you experience lots of flats and tire changes like i´ve been experiencing lately, you sure are thankful for long, strong irons!

nice one, TKC's are my tyre of choice so shall get 300 - 400mm.

Thanks
