Givi for top box

Does anyone have any strong opinions on Givi luggage? I am thinking about buying a Maxia E50 to serve as a top box for my MuZ. I have Hepco Becker panniers, love them.

I would recomend Givi: a great strong box, with easy to use lock system, waterproof and tough.
My Givi 42 litre has done 30,000km from London to Thailand very nicely thank you.
Having overloaded it for some of the way it is now a bit wobbly. Tying it down would have helped. Maybe it is too late now? I will try and fix it with rubber and good wishes.
Having all your luggage lockable is a big advantage over the big rolls everyone else seems to favour. Just make sure to put your light stuff back there.

Hi DE Mark,

You'll love the Maxia's versatility and cavernous size, as long as you don't overload it with heavy stuff. The ability to swallow two full face helmets (or a helmet, gloves and jacket) is great while you walk around, and keeping stuff fully enclosed is great (you know, out of sight, out of mind).

Just don't trust it blindly security-wise, I can open any Maxia in less than 15 seconds with just a screwdriver (and I've occasionally done it in 3 seconds). I learnt the hard way when some b*st*rd decided he really, really liked my BMW helmet inside the Maxia. Probably saw me put it there. I always get a kick out of the faces of other owners as I demonstrate how to open it.

My bet is you'll like it.

Best,

Roberto.

Roberto.
