Translation app for i phone
 

I've just purchased £3.49 the iTranslate app for the iphone and have to say im impressed. 50+ languages, send a translated messaage via email, text and lots more. For instance you can via voice control ask the app to translate where the nearest garage is? in your own language and it will not only give a audible for instance russian translation but written too. Not all the languages listed have this facility but all the major ones do plus lots of others. Easy to use interface and plenty of features I think this wil become a valuable tool on the road.

The only question is, if this app will work offline...

SIRI record your voice and send i to a server. Without Internet connection SIRI stop working..

On the road you can buy local simcards, and get Internet connection. But also in the US are many locations without net coverage. Everywhere else it isnt better...
