Surge protection: What do you use?

I like to document my travels with video and photo's, so carrying my trusty Mac Powerbook has become a necesity. Problem is i'm terrified of frying my computer from a power surge. I've looked for a reasonable sized travel type surge protector to no avail. What do you guys use?

I don't think you need one. Any frying thats done would affect the power supply, but not the computer.

We suffer quite a few spikes here in France and the bit that fries, is the modem if there is no anti-surge on the phone line.

Happened to a buddy of mine. Fried his motherboard during a lightning storm, rather not take the chance.
I did find this: http://www.atbatt.com/product.asp?It...urge+Protector
Ordered one today along with some new bateries.

Definatley get protectors. We lost a cell and gps and caused some screen damage to laptop. Get chargers with built in surge or the actual inverter (if u using) must have built in plus the ac plugs strip must also have. protected 3 times.

I bought as set of these:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2-Targus-Mobil...QQcmdZViewItem

If it doesn't work, search some of these words on ebay: "Targus Mobile PC Surge Protector APS02US "

I only need the 2 pin one, so if anyone wants the 3 pin one, drop me a line, and it's yours for £7.50 (the pair cost me £15 delivered!).
