Motorbike Two Way Radios/ Bluetooth

Hello All.

Planning to do an EU trip looking to buy a two way radio or Bluetooth equipment, issue that I am having is that many people say while riding at a reasonable speed the Comm's don't work. Can anyone kindly shed light please.

Welcome to the HUBB.

Speed shouldn't affect the reception. Perhaps the many people are talking about wind noise? If you are using voice activated equipment your helmet needs to be fairly quiet otherwise your mic will be open all the time.

In the 1980s I used audio tubes for rider to pillion intercomm and it seems they are still available nowadays, see https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Automotiv...com/B0065HBQ0K

In the last ten years I've used Autocom together with PMR446 short range walkie talkies.

Bluetooth is meant for rider to passenger comms, though the range is such that it's possible to use it to communicate with other bikes if they remain close.
