US to Panama AND BACK - TIP question.
 

We plan to head down to Panama and back to the States (we are Aussie) over the next 12 months or so. There is plenty of info on the forums here concerining the various TIPs required. The question is really about how does one RETURN north with the same vehicle and negotiate the differing TIP expiry/restrictions. For example, it looks like you cant return back through Guatemala 90 after the expiry of a TIP. Has anyone done the return trip and if so what are the big issues that need to be planned around?

Done the return run thru Guatemala lots of times with s bike no problem . Simply tell them you will be back within the full term d the TIP and they let you keep it for the return run .
Mexico is the se keep it if your return will be within its 180 days. If you cannot make it simply cancel it , get your deposit refund and get a new TVIP FOR THE RETURN LEG
