TRAVEL ADVISORY FOR NICARAGUA NEXT WEEK APRIL 15th onwards
 

Just a heads up, travel through Nicaragua next week could be extremely difficult and extremely dangerous.

It is the 1 year anniversary of the government shooting of student protestors at the university in Nicaragua. There have been protests since then and it looks like things will be very bad next week.

I have been talking with Honduran and Nicaraguan friends and many people are all saying the same thing. It's going to be bad. There will be blocked roads, massive protests and even talks of the border being closed down on the Honduran and Costa Rican sides.

I WOULD NOT PLAN ON TRAVELING THROUGH NICARAGUA THIS COMING WEEK (SEMANA SANTA). The risk is extremely high.
