should I be worried Travelling through Central America?
 

hello everyone! Me (Ryan) and my girlfriend Nadia will hopefully be travelling through central America starting next October. We are at the moment planning border crossings and places to visit. Nadia is worried as we found that most places are not recommended to travel through at the moment especially Mexico and Nicaragua where there has been drug wars and political unrest lately.
should we be worried? any countries we should avoid? anyone travelling through at the moment can shed some light on this? any info is appreciated
