Peru or bust
 

Never thought I would sign up for an organized tour, but a good opportunity appeared and I'm going for it. I believe there are three spots open if anyone is interested. The ride starts in Pacaras (~2.5 hour south of Lima) on October 30 and ends in Huanuco on November 7, after a ride in the Andes and the headwaters of the Amazon. The base price is $1245 for the tour, motorcycles, lodging, bus to & from Lima, fuel, breakfast and lunch. Basically the motorcycles are being thrown in no charge. The operator needs to get the bikes back to Huanuco as some riders from the "first part" of the tour need to leave the tour in Paracas...and he has to get the bike back to Huanuco. If anyone is interested, let me know and I'll put you in touch with the tour.

Part two - any suggestions for sites to see in Lima on 10/27 (Monday) and 10/28? I am guess that most museums are closed on Monday. If an Lima based riders want to connect to a beer, let me know.

PS: The tour is not an tarmac only trip, there will be a fair amount of time off road.
