If anyone is interested. Here's a link to my blog. I'm currently on a three month trip on my VStrom thru Mexico and Central America, Jan - Mar 2022. Cheers!

Nice job! I’ve been following and like the route you’ve choose. Curious, the day you went from Urique to Batopills, it sounded difficult, do you think it would be less difficult traveling north over that section?

h
Actually I think it would be even more difficult. Because the last part going towards Urique is a lot of downhill.

Thanks for following.

(So now I have a broken front fender and going to have to try to keep re duct taping it yet once again. :-(
Along with chain adjustment there goes my day off in San Miguel de Allende.
Oh well.)

Just started watching you today so I can get a feel on border crossings. I’ve made the trip from USA here to my farm in Costa Rica 4 times now, once on my ST 1300, but have a 12,000 mile trip planned for June (

Keep an eye on my blog. I'll go to Guatemala for sure and maybe Honduras. Depends on how much of a hassle the crossings are. Plus my wife says she doesn't want me gone more than three months! Haha.

On it. El cielo is the most relaxed crossing into Guatemala I’ve done but one time Guatemala had shut down the bank trailer there and I had to taxi ride to El Naranjo to get to a bank to pay the entry fee

Also I see you have a Nicaragua flag. If you make it that far remember to preregister to enter on the internet or it takes 2-3 hours

In Honduras bikes don’t pay at toll booths. There is a left or right path for us to take usually a dirt path

Safe travels and for all my times blowing through to and from the states the only problem I had was dirty cops in Mexico trying to squeeze me for $400.00. I pointed at my go pro and said, I wasn’t speeding and your on tape trying to blackmail me.

Smooth sailing otherwise
