i did batopilas last year but came in from the west. three days spectacular riding thru the mountains on dirt track. we even stayed in a small town whose inhabitants grew marijuana for a living. nicest folk we ever met. they let us sleep in their barn even. as with all moto tourning, u should be careful but this route was nothing unusual and the people were fantastic.
