Information for selling procedure in Costa Rica
 

I'm here in Costa Rica with my father who is selling his bike, the bike has Washington State plates and he is selling to a citizen of Washington state, so the title transfer part should be easy.

But is there any issues with the new owner trying to leave Costa Rica with the bike, given that he won't have bought the bike into the country?? And with the seller leaving the country without his bike?? There is nothing stamped in his passport to say that he bought a vehicle into the country but perhaps it will show up on a computer screen when he leaves?
