Immersion Spanish in Mexico?

So where might be some good places to take a couple weeks of spanish in Mexico? I am thinking 3-4 hours a day would still give me time to ride and see the town and some of the local areas. What would be a good town to base out of for a week or 2?

I am thinking maybe Guanajuato? I also heard San Miguel de Allende mentioned but I am thinking that for the best experience, I would want as few English speaking Gringos as possible. I have read that as much as 20% of the pop. in San Miguel is English speaking.

And what are some experiences/opinions of specific schools.

Thanks for the help.

I did a week's worth of classes in San Cristobal and thoroughly enjoyed it. Summer is more pleasant than winter.

Oaxaca would also be nice.

Monterrey to Cancun, to La Paz.....beach, mountains, big city, small city, colonial city...........you pick it.

I found many references to San Cristobal. You went to San Cristobal de las Casas on Hwy 190 in Chiapas?

Thanks for the info.

That's it, yes.
Can be done fairly cheap, too.

Oaxaca is a great place for it. My friend did more than a week of study there and liked it ... sorry, don't have the name of the school, but there are several. Spent four days there myself and loved the city.

If you have a Lonely Planet or similar guide they list most of the schools.

Thee are a lot of Spanish schools in Cuernavaca. It´s a nice city 80km from Mexico City. I don´t have any specific info but check it on the net if you can´t find anything I can look for you. Some nice riding in the area and the weather is always good.
