It would be great to join up with anyone riding along the same trail as I am. Always makes it fun. Looking forward to getting down there and meeting up. What is the best way to stay in contact with you as I get down in that area? my direct email is garystreff@earthlink.net

Tires and Spanish
Hello Chefonbike68,
Yes you can get the tires in Guatemala, Bavaria Motors and a small outfit have them, but you might have better luck finding sizes in San Salvador. Look up Motoaction Salvador in FB https://www.facebook.com/motoactionsv/info, I don't know if they have a website. If you go to the thread Advriders in Guatemala you can get more info from active local riders. The owner of motoaction Salvador is Mario97 in Advrider. Contact him. Regarding Spanish lessons, San Pedro La Laguna is where a lot of riders have been choosing to learn. I believe people are paying about $85 a week for school and $70 for room and board at local family home set ups. |

I am in the early stages of planning my CA leg of rtw beginning 2014 and the route you described is exactly the route I had mapped out, so thanks for the confirmation! I'm keen to meet other riders, especially with local knowledge and I also like the idea of family stays to learn Spanish for a few weeks in Guatemala. I'll PM you closer to the time. Regards, PN |
For the last time to everyone on HU.... there is no Heidenau at Bavaria Motors,
Only in El Salvador. |
