Forks and Calipers
 

Hello,I think this is my first post, forgive me for any breeches of etiquette. Val and I are in Chetumal, MX we will be crossing the border into Belize and then heading to Guatemala. My left fork is leaking and possibly my left disk brake caliper. So I am going to need to park my Tiger and wrench on it. My qusetion is : Is it better for ordering parts abroad and mechanical questions to be in Chetumal or head to Guatemala City? I realise that wherever we stop we will be there awhile. I have yet to see Guatemala and I have really enjoyed Mexico. I have a Triumph Tiger 800, 2012 with around 37,000 miles. Any ideas are appreciated. Thank You-Diana

ordering parts on your own can be expensive and you may have to deal with arcane customs regs. the dealer will certainly charge you premium prices for parts but you won't have to deal with shipping, customs, etc.
