Anyone with experience getting parts here FAST?

Regulator / Rectifier went down.

Emailed my mechanic stateside and located part in Texas.

The SuzuKi shop here is telling me 3 weeks! (Vstrom DL1000)

DHL overnight?

Fact finding now. Just happened yesterday, Saturday, will know more Monday.

DIY Rectifier regulator
 

Hey Mate,
A rectifier is a dead simple electronic device that converts AC power to DC. A Regulator ensures the voltage remains at the desired voltage.
I don`t know if your bike uses a halfwave or fullwave (bridge) rectifier, but both are VERY easy to make from VERY comon componetns call diodes, or rectifier diodes.
A VOltage regulator is also about as common as it gets.
Go to your local tv/electronics repair shop, and ask him to make one for you.
Basically so long as it is able handle the current draw, it should be easily done!

Whilst this diagram lacks the voltage out and current capacity, I reckon that any system capable of delivering 14 volts at 35 amps should do it!! MIght wanna check with some more experienced tinkerers though. Good luck!

I had a stator and regulator go on a trip to the US. I got the stator overnight from Oneida Suzuki but the regulator was on back order. Luckily a V-Strom owner gave me his while the one I ordered arrived. I think you should check on Stromtroopers.com and see what they say. Not many online stores ship internationally so check carefully. MR Cycles shipped me some parts but they charged over the top prices for shippimg but if you are in a hurry it may be the only way. You could also check with the Suzuki dealer if they can special order for you. You could also try Tim suggestion as he is an electronic wizard.

Well turns out that the rotor was really the culpret. SUZ dealer here took there sweet time to pop the case open and take a looksee. About half the magnents had broken free and disintegrated!

With help from my stateside shop I was able to get the last rotor in the U.S. and had then ship DHL. Just a waiting game now. If shop had cracked the cover This ALL could have happened a little sooner. Ordered new stator - R/R from rectifierregulator.com and they were very helpful to get it shipped here.

ANY ADVISE ON WHAT OR WHERE THE MAGNET FRAGMENTS MIGHT END UP IN THE MOTOR AND WHAT PERCAUTIONS THE MECHANIC SHOULD TAKE TO CLEAN / ELIMINATE??????????????
