Will be riding in in several days. First time in the city. Looking for a reasonable priced biker-friendly place to base out of for 3-5 days.

I'm staying in one of the highest rated hostels in Oaxaca. everything is new, new surdy beds, mattresses the likes of you wouldn't have seen since you left home and hot water. It's super clean, almost boutique standard and guess what? It has a garage attached to park your motorcycle.

Thanks, Guaterider. (Can i infer familiarity with Guatemala from the title? Will be going there as well first time. Hear that security around the Guat City is not too good. Can you confirm?)

Security in Guatemala City is the same as in any other big city : There are some neighborhoods that you want to stay away from . For the rest there is no problem , keep your eyes open , be respectfull with the locals and use COMMON SENSE !

I'll agree with easyg on the Casa Angel. Stayed there a few months ago, fantastic place with a spacious secure garage attached.
