Barranca del Cobre road updates?
 

Does anyone know the conditions of these roads?
How is the weather currently?
Was it a wet season this year?

Summer is always hot here: 30/38°C and we have had some sporadic rains. By september it cools down, 25/30°C. Main highway fine. Roads into the sierra in good condition, sometimes, inmediatly after a rain the 'arroyos' that cross some roads may have some water. We just wait till we can cross by.-

The dates for the HU Meeting in Creel, were selected based on the weather statistics, and what seems to be the most favorable time of the year for this region.
By the second week of October, day temps should hover around 50-65F cooling down in the evenings to 35-40F, sometimes reaching freezing point just before dawn.

All main roads through the region, are in good condition, rain this year has been rather scarse. As it rlates to the dirt roads, only those that cross the main rivers (Urique, Cusarare, Fuerte, and Batopilas, could pose a challenge in case of continuous rains, in which case these could present flash flood conditions. This however is highly unlikely this time of year.

Down at the canyons temperatures are more stable and mostly subtropical year round.
