Anyone ever left there bike behind?
 

January 2017 I will be in Costa Rica (or maybe Nicaragua depending on progress). I have an awards ceremony in Austin, Texas for my company. I am being recognized for my career with the company and would very much like to be in attendance. I will be gone a total of 3 nights, and will return directly to the airport I left from. IE fly from Costa Rica on the 2nd and be back in Costa Rica on the 5th. I have a travel partner who I could leave the bike with in secure accommodations while I am gone. Is there any chance I can make this happen if I can show I have return airfare and can explain where the bike is?

Has anyone had any success pulling off a stunt like this?
