Antigua South to San Jose. Suggested route . . .
Will be leaving in a day or so. Must make haste to get to Costa Rica to fly out for a quick one-month gig. Will stash the bike near San Jose and return to recommence my US-Brazil trip.
Have heard that Highway 1 is sure way to have problems at borders at Honduras and Nicaragua, and to avoid at all costs. Also hear police are a real pain in Honduras. So far has been cake through Mexico and Guatemala. Unfortunately think will have to miss El Salvador altogether. Also looking to avoid more border crossings than absolutely necessary. Kindly seeking suggestions/experiences for reasonable routing south from Guatemala city through Honduras and Nicaragua to Costa Rica. Timing wise, is the road via Tegucigalpa quicker than via highway 1 and through El Salvador? Thanks in advance, P |
The fastest route is through Salvador. You can get from Antigua to Costa Rica in 3 days . Don't worry too much about cops and borders .
