Aduana question for Costa RIca
 

We did Alaska-Ushuaia and are now in BA.

The current plan is to ride to Costa RIca and leave the bikes there for 6 months to a year for intermittent travel in that area before returning home to Minnesota.

My question is: what is the maximum amount of time that the aduana will give you in country in Costa RIca?

hi,

the temporary import permit for your bike has the same validity as your tourist visa. default is three months. don't know if the adoana is willing to give more.

costa rica is 3 months, buy insurance (cheap) at border

somewhere is a post here or advrider about maybe extending it.
