In Southern Argentina - lost all camping gear
 

Hey guys,
Unfortunately we lost all of our camping gear off the back of the bike. Turned around between the 10km stretch where we last stopped and all of our gear had been snagged already. Bogus!
We`re in Puerto San Julian heading to Ushuaia then up towards Bariloche.
Any clues on where would be the best place to grab gear? The main concern is a balance between price (we`re not swimming in cash), and gear that`s actually worthwhile buying (E.g. it can last the distance to Colombia).
We`ve heard places in Argentina and Chile are both worth checking out, but would love some info from people who have experience with buying gear here.

I know there is a camping shop in Ushuaia (Well there was in 2008), but it's EXPENSIVE...

Santiago has several shops selling very decent gear. PM me if you need mas info. I also list half my camping stuff after crash in northern Chile. Prices in Santiago were comparable to UK...
