reasonable travelling sleeping bag

After loosing my last sleepingbag, a snugpak traveller 2 season thing, I am in need of a decent sleeping bag and looking for some reccomendations.

Compressed small is really important, it can't be too expensive, doesn't have to be too warm 2+ seasons, I am willing to pay for quality, but not too much. The small size is a really important thing as I said as I am a light traveller.

Any recomendations are greatfully recieved

cheers

Dave

I have a Trekker Superlite travel sleeping bag that I love. It's similar to the snugpack. Packs up tight and small and easy to store.

Mountain Hardware Lamina -7

From memory, about 1300g, 3-season, good quality materials used and packs down relatively small. Probably one of the best synthetics out there for the price. They're on offer in Blacks for 75 quid at the moment. Bargain.

Western Mountaineering makes some really nice down stuff. I am using a High Light that is rated 35 F and weighs about 1 lb. Look on ebay for bargins on used gear.

I have used a softie 12 for years in the Military and still have it now, although the zip has gone now, great sleeping bag. Light, warm and packs down ok.

Not too bad a price

Thanks for the replies, some interesting options. I was quite amazed at tmotten's suggestions. I'll never thing of a sleeping bag as just somewhere to sleep again!

The Lamina 20 at Blacks does look like a good option for me, espicially at that price, although I could do with it begin a little smaller. (I know it usually the other way around!)

cheers

Yeah, it's really great. And if you want small just go the 450. Because of the shape it's really a blanket most of the time.
