I read in one of the bike mags that the Belstaff name was bought by an Italian company. Would explain why they appear to have gone down the fashion route.

I own both, a leather jacket as well as a textile jacket. I bought the textile one from Louis in Germany, the producer is Roleff and I have to say that I am more than satisfied! GREAT price (especially since I bought it during a sale - I think it was something like 90 Euros) and even with the postage to Japan it came much cheaper than similar stuff over here.
