They do a good mail order service an even include a returns slip in the packeage so you can send it back if it the wrong size/damaged etc.

For non-German speakers, I'm 5'9" 75kg and a size M is just perfect.
As with a lot of the cheaper jackets, the back protector is just a sweat pad. I swapped it with the vented protector from my Rukka Air.

I use an xl size and have no problem at all with arm length theragain - I am a stone wall builder and reckon carrying all that stone day after day has streched me arm several inches. shame it has not woorked out. Got to say the gear redboots is showing looks excellent and may be just the job. good Hunting. Jake.

HG Tureg stuff aint bad, I like it but as a short arse the trousers were too long and they don't do them in many different sizes.

I bought rukka and yes it's very good and blows away HG stuff but it is expensive and one thing I may add is trousers are not comfortable in anything other than leather - yes I just wasted £400 on rukka trousers doh!

another note with boots, I wanted an all round pair but found if you want all weather then you will get hot in summer - no getting away from it. Altbergs are good but offer little protection then they are sturdy and can take a battering. Daytona are comfy and protective, however are not as tough and will scuff & rip etc...

I recently met German couple Werner and Claudia that came down Africa.
On the road for 7 months, they seem to have a interesting solution by making use of motocross body armor and jersey giving the ultimate in protection and ventilation, this combined with a waterproof jacket, in this case a bike jacket with all armour removed, to cover all in case of rain and warm layers in case of cold seem to have worked well for them. Claudia took some serious tumbles which show on the shoulder of the jersey but came away completely unhurt.
This takes the layering a step further as even the body armour ends up being a layer on it's own, but allow you to use any kind of jacket for weather protection even expedition gear that often seem to be more effective at keeping out the rain and cold for a lot less money.
Body armor with all layers might make things very bulky though.
