Has anybody taken Strada Sprints to South America on a KLR?
 

I was wondering if the Strada sprint by Gaerne (http://www.gaerne.com/boot_strada.sprint.html) has ever been used for riding the Americas. Myself and two other guys will be hitting the road in January for an eight month volunteer trip and want a good boot, lightweight.... you know all those qualities that everybody wants in a transcontinental boot. If anybody owns a pair and has any advice email us at link above and check out the site while your at it. All suggestions are most appreciated.
