Can buy a decent one for around 20 pounds

On the Bonneville I carried and repeatedly used a coil.On the F650 you had to carry the waterpump kit. My first Enfield ate clutch cables etc.

The right part is a much easier fix than stripping the original past the point the manufacturer intended, using glue and so forth, just heavier.
