Trailer 1200 GSA

Does anyone have any experience with pulling a trailer with a 1200 gsa ?

does an 1100GS count?

So,what actually is your question ?
Just strap them down by the handlebar centrally and at the rear while compressig the springs or use mechanical lockdown systems. The BMW suspension system acts the same as any other type, no big deal.

Think he means pulling a trailer behind the bike not putting the bike on a trailer

There are some interesting threads over on ADVrider, in the Gspot, a chap built a really tidy single wheeler for a 1200

I've only towed with an outfit. You know a trailer is there and have to slow down, allow more space for breaking etc. On a solo I imagine the effect would be greater, probably as much difference again as having a pillion and no pillion. Once you accept you are now riding a beast of burden with no real sporty qualities I imagine it will work. If you want to enjoy the ride rather than be a sort of truck driver I can imagine it might not be for you. Personally I avoid ruining the outfits performance with the trailer until there is no other way to carry the "stuff".

One thing to consider: car drivers don't expect the trailer to be there. I've heard more than one story of small bke trailers getting run over as the cagers simply expect to be able to pull up within a meter of the top box. Get some hi-viz or an antenna if it's low and small.
