sore ass!! bmw r100
 

i have justv purchased a bmw r100 gs and well the bike is great however the previous owner had quite a large bum and cut the seat down i myself havequite a boney ass and the seat is very uncomfortable. Suggestions??

i would try a search on sheepskin, loads of info there:)

If the original seat is cut down, a sheepskin may not be enough. I think you should look for a secondhand original seat or let someone rebuild your seat.

I have an unmodified 1985 r80rt , after reading teh sheepsking posts here i happened on one at a car boot. It more than doubles my range before I am afflicted with 'numb bum syndrome' . Maybe if you have to source a new seat, look out for a 'comfort seat'. Try Motobins.co.uk

Get one of these - it makes almost any journey bearable, and smells nice when it's wet. Also keeps the seat cool when the bike's been standing in the sun.
