side car or trailer
 

My bike is a 2013 F800gs and I want to add either a side car (preferred) or a trailer. Can anybody point me to places in Canada where such things can be got, or what 's needed? For the trailer, where can you get a hitch that works with the F800gs? Or any other advise. I'm currently in Newfoundland at the beginning of the third week of my RTW trip. Communications are sometimes spotty, but I'll respond asap....

Have a good talk with them, they'll give you the right advice.

If you did go with a trailer check out Trail Tail.

They mount low down through axle area.

Thanks Grant. Some of their sidecars cost more than my whole trip will - almost...but beautiful. After some replies on F800 forum, a sidecar is out. Too expensive and not for the DIY crowd. A trailer is looking more realistic.

Totally agree. The F800 would not be easy to fit a chair to, you'd need to learn a whole new driving technique and the paperwork can get silly.

Why the need for luggage capacity though? Why not just travel lighter?

A trailer is going to come with paperwork problems in some countries too, so check your route.
