Need driveshaft boot for G/S in Pakistan

Hello: I'm in Pakistan and I need a driveshaft boot for a BMW monolever. My bike is a 1986 G/S. Any idea where I could find one? I guess the alternative is to DHL it here somewhere .... Unless someone knows a better solution?

Thanks,
Kevin

Kevin, You should be able to make something up.
Can you make something up from a inner tube or maybe a gaitor from a car gear change lever or some 4 wheel drive vehicles have a boot over the ball joint on the axle. Before rubber came along leather was used or maybe canvas.
Come on be creative ;)

If memory serves me right those gs monolevers were @sealed for life' so the boot is just a dust cover. not am oil seal. as steve says, wrap rubber around and hold it in place with jubilee clips.

Err no they have oil in them .. 150 milli litres IIRC.

The only failures I've had on mine were splits - I used some silicon sealant on it and it held up for another 2 months. Try a tyre patch?

If it leaks - just keep toping the oil level up. It will run with out oil but you'll damage teh splines that way - you cound lube tham with grease for a while...

You should be able to find some in India or at least have a new one sent to you - motobins takes about 1 week to deilver through the post.

Good Luck.
