GS Dakar in the city?
 

I presently ride a VFR 800 and I want to change it for a GS Dakar for traveling to Mexico and S. America, but I use my byke a lot in the city for comuting and weekend rides. Can you guys be so kind to tell me how good (and confortable) is the beemer at this.

I love the Dakar in the city. Upright position allows you to see all the cars coming at you. Wide handlebars, light wieght, makes it easy to maneuver between cars, broken pavement, cows, etc.

I test rode the Dakar for a day in London and was very happy with it's performance in the city. I was very comfortable on it and enjoyed the town riding.
If I had more money than sense, I would consider buying the GS road version as a commuter bike, but as I don't, my first choice as an all rounder is my KTM.
