F800 GS clutch noise
 

Anyone had problems with rattling clutch on their 800?
Mine seems to be getting worse and wondered if something is loose or the release bearing is faulty.
I am happy to go inside to take a look, but any suggestions in advance would be helpful

The clutch on my '09 F800gs has been noisy since the day I brought home from the dealership. It gets a bit quieter when the lever is pulled slightly which makes me think it is play in the release bearing. I've got 75,000km now and haven't had any issues. The rattle isn't any louder (or quieter) than when new.

Problem solved
 

Stripped it down to look at the build quality and found nothing wrong as expected with a BMW. Have since identified the problem as too much free play in the cable. Adjusted this to 1mm free play and the noise has almost gone. Sometimes its the simple things in life that are often overlooked
