Engine just stopped
 

2006 f650GS. Freeway riding 10 miles. Come to a stop at a red light in town. Engine just dies. Cannot restart. Tow bike home and begin trouble shooting. Battery good. Replaced fuel filter. Same problem. Any suggestions? Also, when I pour some fuel into the carb throat the bike runs for a second.

Can you hear the fuel pump prime when you yurn the ignition on?

Yes, I do hear the pump. I tried disconnecting the fuel filter outlet line to see if fuel comes out when I energize the pump. No fuel came out.

When you turn the motor over with the starter?

Enough fuel in the tank? (I wouldn't ask if it hadn't happened to me.)

No. Not with engine cranking. Hmmm I'll try it.

Injector should spray with engine cranking.

I found the problem. The plastic fuel line from the fuel pump to the outlet port was broken. Now the problem is parts. The fuel pump rubber mounts (3ea) are deteriorated and needs to be replaced but it appears they cannot be bought separately.
