BMW Spares in Germany / Deutschland ! ?

Hello everybody, especially German biker friends,

After having throttle cable problem with my R80 GS Basic 1996 (couldn't find the cable within Turkey in one week, they still search for it and I await for my trip 2 weeks later), I decided to buy spares from Germany which I travel at least twice a year.

I would like to ask you: what is the best source with fair prices that I can buy spare parts to my bike in Germany?
I contacted to Motobins but they are expensive and I have to pay an extra shipping price.

I buy some simple spares like oil filter, spark plugs, etc from Hein Gericke but they have few spares indeed.

P.S.: I can order them by e-mail, they make it ready or try to find and I buy on the scheduled visit.

Thanks a lot,

Samy

Salam Samy,

From Germany: Siebenrock - BMW Motorräder & Teile ...alles ab /5

is it that necesarry the spares have to come from Germany?

If NOT, then couple of good places I can recommend from UK:

BMW Motorcycle Parts // Welcome

BMW Motorcycle Spares - Motobins Ltd - Welcome

Motorworks - BMW Motorcycle Spares - home

Most of them have good communication in English and loads of s/h and new spares both airheads and oilheads.

Take care, Margus

Although not the place for urgent spares, I regularly look at Ebay Germany for BM' stuff.
It usually goes for considerably less than on Ebay UK, even with higher post costs to UK.
Even the potential to make a profit if you don't really need the parts!

You can also try Mat Beekers in Holland. Very reliable and honest with postage rates. I use him all the time

Web: BMW Boxer Supplies webshop
email: matbeekers at hetnet.n (substitute the at with @)

Cheers,
john

I made very good experiences with Siebenrock, URL see above.

Though ownership changed since I ordered the last time - I do not know what the service is like today. It used to be superb!

I find them a little cheaper than the local agent.

If you wait for their 10% off sale then they are cheap.

The shipping charge is about the same for 1 small item as it is for 10 small items - buy the 'servicing' spares together - things like clutch, throttle cabnles and air, oil filters .. spreads the costs. Think you'll find all the firms will charge for the shipping costs .. and will be about the same or more expensive!
